AOL's Daily Finance section has put together a serious of articles on prepping for the before and after of Hurricane Sandy.  Hopefully, you've already done everything possible as far as the before the storm stuff is concerned.  The articles I've linked to here might come in handy once Sandy has left us with regards to making sure you're taken care of by your insurance company and making sure the repair costs to spiral out of control.  
That home repair rip-off stuff really fires me up; ridiculous that anyone would do that to someone who is trying rebuild their house and/or their life in the wake of an event like this, but it does happen.  I hope you end up not needing this, but I thought it better that you have it, just in case:
