As a kid, Rich Kaminski’s life was similar to the life of many other suburban Jersey boys – kind of ordinary – summers working in the snack bar at the local pool, weekends at the deli counter slicing meat and the time in-between, just trying to get through High School. But throughout his early life, there was one constant…music. From Pink Floyd to Jimmy Buffett, Hall & Oates to Bob Marley, Rich’s musical taste ran rampant then as they do now. At some point between High School and graduation from William Paterson University, a light (LITE) bulb went off in his head and the idea to pursue on-air broadcasting was born.
Upon graduation from college, Rich ignited his broadcast career with on-air shifts across the northeast landing in various markets including: Philadelphia, New Jersey, Connecticut and ultimately the biggest radio market of them all…The Big Apple. Lucky for us, Rich’s newest home, besides the one he shares with his wife and their Basset Hound in New Jersey, is now 106.7 LITE fm. After a long day at work, Rich helps make the afternoon/evening commute (weekdays 3p-8p) a little easier.
When Rich isn’t being heard over the airwaves, you’ll likely find him at Yankee Stadium, where his other passion resides. Thankfully for all of us, Rich can't hit a curveball so we won’t have to worry about losing Rich to The Yankees anytime soon. Rich Kaminski is like the little brother you always want to have around…and thankfully for us, he’s here to stay.
He might forever be known as Tony Soprano's nephew Christopher, but Michael Imperioli has a new show on ABC that I really like - Life on Mars -Michael plays Detective Ray Carling. The photo above is when I ran into Michael one night in the city.

When Delilah gets here, you know it's time to get your dedications in - right after my show at 8pm it is 'The Lite At Night'.

What can we expect from your show every weekday afternoon? An escape from your day - some fun, some information - everything from American Idol to events happening around the tri-state area. I keep you plugged in and help you home from work at the same time. Plus a whole lot of great music too.
Bon Jovi Interview Bon Jovi speaks to Rich Kaminski about being NJ's spokesperson, gossip, Oprah, and future acting. To download the podcast, right-click "Listen" and select "Save As" from the menu.
I interviewed Jon Bon Jovi in the summer of '06 (click on "Listen" above). It was right before they did those shows at Giants Stadium and right around the time the great state of New Jersey shut down for a few days, remember that?
The above video was taken somewhere around mile 18 with the Panasonic Lumix TZ 50 Camera.
My Time NYC Marathon 2008 - 3:37:33 To all my family and friends that came out to support me - I love you all, especially my wife (who put up with all the hours I spent training - you are such a special person).
To the people of New York City - I thank you - Every person that slapped my hand as I ran by and every person that yelled out my name when I really needed it. I could not have done this Marathon without you. New York City is truely the greatest city in the world and you proved that to me on November 2nd 2008. Also, a very heart-felt thank you to everyone who took the time to donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation - it is a great cause and your money will go to good use. A chilly morning on Staten Island (before The Marathon started). The back of my shirt. Packed in the corral - walking to the starting line. The Marathon is on - running up The Verrazano Bridge. Almost to the finish line in Central Park. 26.2 miles behind me. The post-marathon celebration.

I am running The New York City Marathon again this year. This time in support of Alex's Lemonade Stand.
In 2000 Alexandra Scott - a 4 year old girl with cancer opened a lemonade stand to raise money for kids with cancer. Over the course of her lifetime - Alex was able to raise 1 million dollars and I hope to contribute to this great, great cause by running The New York City Marathon on November 2nd in her honor. Alex's courage and big heart are an inspiration to all.
Cancer is a diease that affects so many families. Anything you can donate will be appreciated.
