Last November I stopped by the big Macy's Parade Balloon Inflation on the Upper West Side, by the Museum of Natural History!
I got to share an intimate evening with some very sweet Lite FM Listeners.
We shared stories, shared some good food and got to know eachother.
I joined Helen Little at Wollman Rink for "Skating In Central Park."
What a great day, and such wonderful Winter Scene in NewYork!
Keep warm everyone!
This next loyal listener letter hit home with me because I had a very similar story where I fell in love with someone my parents did not approve of and for many years it caused a wedge between us. But everything happens for a reason and I couldn’t imagine my life now without my firstborn, Isaiah, who is one of my greatest blessings from that relationship…
When I was around 21 years old I fell in love with a man named Wade. My mother was against interracial relationships and threatened me that if I didn't break it off with Wade she would have my kids taken from me...and my kids are my life.
Now I'm older and after my husband passed a way I decided to look up Wade and I did get a hold of him. He said that somebody we both knew had told him long ago that I was dead, and not to play games with him. I explained to him that I was very much alive! Now he doesn’t know what to think.
All I know is a part of my heart belongs to Wade. With time on our side, I pray those walls continue to come down. Can you please dedicate a song to Wade with love from Jean? Thank you so much Delilah. Jean
Well that has to be an interesting day when your first sweetheart calls you from the grave! I can’t even imagine what went thru Wade’s head. I hope he and Jean can work out a friendship, if not more, and remember the good times they had when they were young and in love. If you have a story to share, e-mail those on over to us... send them to Producer David he's standing by to receive your messages! His e-mail address is: David@delilah.com.

Tonight as we remember and reflect upon 9/11.... 12 years later now.... we will be here for you via the airwaves, sharing your stories... sharing your memories... and sharing words of hope and peace as well. We live in an uncertain world, more than ever it is important for us to unite together and do our very best to make a positive impact in the world and the lives of the people around us.
If you're fussing at someone tonight... if you're arguing with a family member... if you're grumpy about something silly that happened today... STOP THAT... and focus on letting go of that. It only steals your joy. If there's one thing we learned from 9/11... one tiny little fact... it's that everything can change... on a dime. In a split second, your entire world can change completely... and not always for the better.
Tonight tell the ones you love HOW MUCH you love them... tell them how they've made your life better, and let down the walls that guard you from feeling those freeing, uplifting feelings. Celebrate life... and allow that love to come back to your heart... because I promise you, it will.
If you have a 9/11 Memory you'd like to share or tell us about... e-mail Producer David tonight, his e-mail address is: David@delilah.com -- and if you send those in, I will do my very best to get them on the air tonight... and all of this week as we remember 9/11, together.

When you think of your memories, the good ones that really matter and give you warm fuzzy feelings, do they involve fancy things and a lot of money? I can’t think of one of my best memories that had anything to do with material things or wealth. They included experiences and feelings and most of all, people I loved. Here’s another great memory from a loyal listener who really knows what it means to be rich…
I grew up in a middle class family. My father was a clerk in a bank, and he used to go to his job on a bicycle. I was 6 then. My friends had their own bikes to ride in the evenings and I used to just watch them.
But when my father came home from work, he used to carry me with him on his bicycle and we had a ‘big ride.’ When that would happen all the kids would watch and stare from their windows because their businessmen fathers were too busy to spend time with them. When my dad would do that I would feel like the richest kid in the world!
Today, my two daughters have so many toys, and bicycles and scooters to ride, but my ride with my father on his bicycle was a great world tour to me. Zainab
It’s true, today our children have a lot more gadgets and cool toys to play with, but I really think, even still, the best memories are made when you’re spending quality time with the ones you love. The best memories occur when you’re making the most of what you’ve been given, like Zainab, whose dad gave him a very special gift just by being present.
Who makes you feel like the luckiest person in the world? What makes you feel rich? Call me today at 1-800-222-1067 or email your story to Producer David tonight, his e-mail address is: David@delilah.com!
