Last November I stopped by the big Macy's Parade Balloon Inflation on the Upper West Side, by the Museum of Natural History!
I got to share an intimate evening with some very sweet Lite FM Listeners.
We shared stories, shared some good food and got to know eachother.
I joined Helen Little at Wollman Rink for "Skating In Central Park."
What a great day, and such wonderful Winter Scene in NewYork!
Keep warm everyone!
Are you celebrating a big anniversary – 20, 30, 40, 50 years? If you’ve got more than that under your belt, you need to call me with all your secrets! This next sweet story is from Brenda who is about to celebrate a milestone anniversary with her husband and shares the story of how they were set up…
My husband, Michael and I met as an afterthought because he ran late on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. He asked our friend if he knew of anyone else he could date. And that friend thought of me. Our friend knocked on my door to see if I could go out, but it was too late and my father wouldn’t let me.
All the next week at school my friends told me that Michael thought I
was so cute. We finally met on that Sunday afternoon. He kept calling me Linda (although my name is Brenda) but I did not mind it.
That was 40 years ago, and we married the next year. Yes, forty years of marriage. Met after a blind date gone wrong, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We have a daughter, a son, and now 5 grandchildren! Brenda
Boy, Michael lucked out, didn’t he? First, he was late for a blind date that didn’t work out. Then he made it on a date but kept calling her the wrong name. Brenda (not Linda), I’m guessing your hubby has some wonderful qualities that made up for his forgetful ways. Or, perhaps he was just nervous. Nevertheless, 40 years is something to celebrate and I wish you happiness all the rest of your days together!
E-mail your sweet story to Producer David tonight, his e-mail address is: David@delilah.com ..... or you can always call me at 1-800-222-1067, and I'll air your story on my show. I can’t wait to hear from you!
With Lots of Love ... Delilah <3
